I chose Kyoto Apartment 19, because it has a great location: First of all, it is near my university.There are also bus stops (Asukaicho, Hyakumanben) and a train station (Demachiyanagi) nearby with which you can go to almost all places, including famous tourist spots such as Ginkakuji, Kiyumizudera, the Imperial Palace or the attractive shopping district Kawaramachi. You can find 3 different convenient stores (7eleven, Lawson, Family Mart), a supermarket (GraceTanaka), a post office and a variety of restaurants within the walking distance of the apartment.
Kyoto Apartments are a good choice for students with a limited budget. Thestaff always replies promptly and all of my housemates were friendly and talkative.
